Sierra's 2nd Birthday

Fear and a terrible anxiety rose above

From our hearts to the heavens

Over a little girl with spindly legs

But with a heart that swelled like leaven

Showing us Love

Gods healing touch was sent and deployed

She was learning to stand using a ball

Developing power and movement not there before

Helping and training, tears with pain yet smiling through it all

Drove in Joy

Would she run and jump like the antelope

Only with time would our fears melt

Stronger and better, crawling and laughing

During September God had provided help

He showed us Hope

Walking free now, splendid in her haste

Leaves our concerns to slipping and falling

Her explorations bring substance to our joy

And her desire to rise after toppling and tumbling

Taught us Faith

So how do we keep up with

her dancing and spinning, even peeing on the floor

which create happiness and mountains of bliss

Since we are chasing her as she runs out the door
